Christmas Music
I know, same title as another blog, sorry it fits here too.
I was browsing through a hallmark story last night searching for a birthday card for my mom. BTW-did you know hallmark doesn't have belated birthday cards? Anyway, about five minutes after I was in there they started playing christmas music. I don't know what it is about christmas music, but I really don't like any of it. Maybe there's some long stemming, childhood bad memory that I've convientely blocked out, or maybe it's just that christmas is associated, in my mind, with winter and I don't like winter. Whatever the reason, I just don't like christmas music. It also occured to me that after this Thursday, that's all I'll be hearing in stores and some radio stations from now til the end of the year...great.
It's not that I don't like christmas in general. I do, I like the decorations and the getting together with family and friends and the getting and giving presents and the foods associated with said holiday, but that music has got to go! I feel bad about it sometimes, I don't ask people to turn it off, but it grates on me at times. Anyone have any insight into this problem? Am I alone out here in the dispise of hristmas music? Holla back!

The answer? Christmas Wrapping, by the Waitresses. You may remember them as the people behind "I Know What Boys Like" and the "Square Pegs" theme.
