Best CD List

After reading Balls' post on top ten bands and because I love VH1 and all their countdowns; I decided to list my top 5 favorite cd's of all time. *These are not in raking order*

1) Pink Floyd; Dark Side of the Moon--I know, I know, "The Wall is way better", I've heard it a bajillion times. But for me, I just really prefer Dark Side. It's one of those cds that I could just play over and over and never get tired of. My dad listened to this cd a lot when I was younger, so it brings back lots of good memories for me.

2) Madonna; Bedtime Stories--probably one of her most unpublicized, untalked about cds, but one of her best in my book. Popular songs from this cd: "Take A Bow", "Bedtime Stories", "Human Nature".

3) U2; Achtung Baby--this album the one by which all other U2 music is referenced. I'm a much bigger fan of their music after Achtung Baby than their stuff before. Just like people reference the Beatle's music in terms of pre or post Sargent Pepper's, same type deal.

4) Batman Forever; Soundtrack--the movie was barely tolerable, but that soundtrack kicks ass! Where else can you get such a variety in one cd (one that you didn't make)? This cd has the popular Seal song, "Kiss From a Rose" which I usually skip, but then there's PJ Harvey, Massive Attack, U2, Michael Hutchence....tons of good music from rock to jazz to even a little hip hop!

5) Garbage; self titled album--this one is a good "pissed off at guys" type cd. Everyone needs a cd that speaks to them in a similar way.
