Spring has Sprung
Spring is here and with it comes the itch to start doing things outside. We are already making plans to break out the camping / fishing equipment this weekend and hope to use them more often than we did last year.
We are expanding the garden (and by we, I mean Ben) to make the outline of the garden match or closely resemble the flowerbeds. This is also the time of year we start looking at what kinds of flowers and vegetables we want to grow. This year, we're going to stick with a couple tomato plants, a green pepper plant, a jalepeno plant (for mo betta salsa makin). We'll also have our third year strawberries and a variety of herbs (oregano, mint, parsley, cilantro and catnip).
As for flowers, I don't know the names of a lot of stuff, I just go by what sparks my intrest when I'm at the nursery or store. I do like browsing around though. I think that hosta's are pretty low maintainance and if so, I'd like to get a few to put around each side of the house.
In conclusion, I'm excited that the warmer weather is just around the corner (and in some cases all ready here).
Prease to enjoy this video of what Ben & I did this past weekend while visiting Richmond.

Hostas don't like much sun. They will definitely die on the south side of your house and will possibly die on the east and west sides, depending on how much sun they get. They will heart the north side of your house.
